About the maker
Robot Animator — prototyping robots and documenting the process
I build small robot prototypes and share the work in progress: mechanisms, motion studies, control experiments, and quick iterations. This portfolio is a lightweight home for selected builds and notes, kept intentionally minimal so projects can speak for themselves.
Most entries start with a simple question and end with a tested result, a lesson learned, or a next step. If you’re working on a prototype and want to compare approaches, feel free to reach out and trade ideas.
Electronics & Control Systems
Microcontrollers, sensors, motor drivers, and power are the backbone of every build. This section is a placeholder for projects that focus on control architecture, bring-up, tuning, and the practical details that make prototypes stable and repeatable.
Mechanism & Motion Design
From linkages and joints to end effectors and motion constraints, this area highlights how parts move. Use it to catalog prototypes exploring kinematics, actuation choices, and the iterative mechanical changes that improve performance.
Prototyping Workflow & Demos
Concept sketches, quick rigs, test fixtures, and demo-ready iterations belong here. Add case studies that show how ideas turn into working robots, including build notes, lessons learned, and short results from validation tests.
PORTFOLIO NOTES
A simple record of prototypes in progress — built to stay clear, modular, and easy to update.
Robot Animator started as a place to document small robot builds before they disappeared into notebooks, CAD folders, and half-finished demos. This page is intentionally lightweight: a running list of projects, snapshots, and iterations that can expand over time.
Each entry focuses on what was attempted, what changed, and what was learned. The goal is repeatable work: clear constraints, honest results, and enough context for someone else to follow the decisions without wading through noise or marketing polish.
This portfolio stays independent and practical—no sponsorship callouts, no gated downloads, and no filler. As the work grows, the structure stays the same: a clean index of projects you can scan quickly, then revisit when you need the details.
GET IN TOUCH
Have a robot idea to prototype?
Share a quick outline of what you’re building and what stage you’re in. I’m open to collaboration, feedback on mechanisms, and early prototype reviews. Keep it short—details can follow.
